# Requirements

What you need before installing Bookmark Context.

- **Python 3.11+** — the daemon and MCP server.
- **Chrome** (or Chromium) — the side-panel extension.
- **Node.js 18+** — only to rebuild the extension UI. Skip it if you use a prebuilt `extension/dist/`.

An MCP-capable client (Cursor, Claude Code, or any other) if you want to search
collections from an assistant.
